Nicola.
There was a time when I didn't know how to listen to my body.
Everything felt loud and disconnected, as though I was being pulled in too many directions at once. It was only when I began to slow down, really slow down, that something began to shift. Not all at once, and not in a straight line, but quietly, gently. Like the first signs of spring returning to the land.
That was where the work began. Nature with Nicola grew from that space. Not from a place of having all the answers, but from a deepening relationship with the natural world, and a growing understanding of how the body, the mind, and the land are always in conversation with one another.
Slow work. Seasonal work. Not about fixing. About returning.
My background is in herbal medicine, where I've been trained to understand the body both clinically and energetically. But the work I share goes beyond that. It lives in the quieter moments — in noticing, in tending, in learning to come back to yourself through the rhythm of the seasons. Through writing and gentle practices, I offer a space to reconnect. Not in a way that asks you to become something new, but in a way that helps you remember what is already there. This is nervous-system work. It's not about fixing. It's about returning.
My writing has been published in Herbs Magazine, The Power of Plants, Kitchen Garden Magazine, Plant Healer Quarterly, and Without Borders, exploring the meeting place between herbal medicine, seasonal living, and the quieter rhythms of the body.
